Skilled performers will bring traditional Javanese tales to life through beautifully crafted puppets, music and stories told through the intricate art of shadow play. Recommended for ages 8 to adult, the performance will feature the renowned Indonesian dhalang (puppeteer) Sumarsam, showcasing the traditional Javanese wayang kulit, a tradition performed with flat leather puppets whose shadows are projected onto a large screen.
Sumarsam will be accompanied by a 12-piece gamelan orchestra.
To tantalize your taste buds, delicious Indonesian appetizers from Pecel Ndeso will be available to pre-order. Tickets for this extraordinary event are available here. Prices are set at $10 for adults, $5 for students/seniors, with an option to pre-order a personal box of authentic Indonesian finger food for $20, which includes Lemper, Sate ayami, Sate sapi, Tahu isi, Gado gado wrap, Bakwan jagung and more!
