Join expert forager Heather Flournoy, founder of Wild Nearby for an hour foraging walk around town. We will find and identify late summer wild edible and medicinal plants, discuss the historic uses of these plants, discuss plant identification apps and books, and how to incorporate wild plants in your daily life.
Meet at the library for brief orientation. Upon return to the library we will sample wild teas. Suitable for all ages. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. This event will take place even if there is light rain.
